Spanish Class with Tricia

                                            COURSE RATES:

Each middle school and high school class is $10. 

Each Elementary Spanish class is $5.

Each Arts & Crafts class (elem.) is $7.

                                                                 CLASS LOCATION: 

All classes will be held at my church, Fairmount Christian, in Mechanicsville.  The church is located just off of 295 on Creighton Road.  The Elementary Spanish class  is in room 111 (on the first floor).  All other classes are in Room 255 (upstairs).

                                           CLASS LENGTH- Middle & High School Classes:

When I used to teach at a homeschooling academy  we had 2 shorter classes a week (the school charged $6 0r $7 for each 55 minute class).  When I started teaching at Fairmount in 2004 I switched to one 1 and 1/2 hour class a week.  I combine the 2 classes into 1 and it works great since I keep the classes small.  It helps the parents with transportation and scheduling.  Students need to be aware that we will be completing the work for 2 classes each Wednesday. (This year the middle school class will be 1 hour + 15 minutes.) 

                                        COURSE AVAILABILTY

I do need to keep the classes small so that we will be able to cover the material.  The first students who sign up will be guaranteed a space.  Returning students are always guaranteed a space.  Please do not sign up unless you are able to commit.  You wouldn't want to take a space away from another student.  When the classes fill up I will have a waiting list.

If there is a need I may be able to add another Spanish I class. 

                                               BOOKS

You do not need to order books!  I will order them from Amsco School Publications at the teacher's price and I will bring the books to our first class.  For book titles see the Course Syllabus.  When I get a total book fee I will post it here.

                                           SUPPLIES LIST

Middle school & high school students will need the following:

a 3-ring binder, looseleaf paper, pens or pencils, 1 package of 3x5 index cards, & a Spanish to English dictionary 

Elementary students will need:

pencils or pens, a spiral notebook or looseleaf paper in a binder

I will provide all other materials for use in class.  There will be a 1 time copies & supplies fee for each student.  This will be included in the textbook fees.

                                       BUILDING USAGE

Fairmount Christian Church is generously allowing us to use the facilities for Spanish class at no charge!  Fairmount is commited to helping the community and homeschooling families.  I contribute a portion of my earnings to the church to help offset costs.  We use electricity, heat, etc.  I do ask each family to prayerfully consider giving a one time donation to the church to help with these costs and to show our appreciation to a church which is committed to helping us homeschool.  I suggest this donation in April, but anytime during the year would be appropriate.  Any gift would be helpful; I suggest $5.  Checks should be made payable to Fairmount Christian Church.  Thanks for taking this into consideration.
